Four months ago, my wife and I started this new travel YouTube channel, called Koper Kecil. We didn’t expect to hit 1000 subscribers this fast!
In this past four months, we have learned so much about YouTube, its algorithm, video producing, scriptwriting, video editing, thumbnail designs, and about how we work together as a couple.
The Outlier Video
The 80-20 rule apparently also applies to YouTube (or should we say 95-5 rule) where the 20% content does 80% of the job.
And believe it or not, most YouTube channels have some outlier videos that just get much more views than their average videos. Ours was this one below about our 3 day trip to Jogjakarta which has gotten over 100K views:
What’s Next
As we plan to take a career break, we will focus on growing this channel – at least for a year to see where we can bring this to, and to what level.
