Hey there, thanks for coming and reading my blog.

My name is Andryo. I am a neat freak, somewhat perfectionist, overly sensitive, shy-but-friendly, impatient-but-devoted, and an extremely introverted person.

I was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Back in the days, I was an athlete, playing for the Indonesian national baseball team and the DKI Jakarta province team for about 7 years.

When I’m not working, I am also an indie musician who write and produce my own songs.

In 2007, I moved to London, United Kingdom, to pursue a master’s degree in Digital Media. After I’ve graduated, I continued living there for 2 more years working in the digital media industry, first as a web designer & front-end developer, then continued in search marketing (SEO) and web analytics.

After London, I relocated to Sydney, Australia, in 2011. I worked for another digital media agency as a search marketing and analytics consultant. Since then, I’ve been working in multiple client-side roles in a wide spectrum, from large corporates to early startups – ranging in finance, telco, e-commerce, SaaS and fintech.

In 2018, my wife and I briefly went back home to Indonesia. What started as a short career break, ended up being a year-ish period to help take care of my wife’s late father whom was diagnosed with lung cancer whilst we were there. But more stories on that later.

Came back to Sydney, Australia, in 2019; and we have been living here ever since. Oh and lately, my wife and I have started a YouTube channel about travel, called Koper Kecil. Be sure to check us out and subscribe 🙂

This is my personal blog where I write about life, my travels, thoughts, music, and random things really.

Some more about me:

  • Addicted to coffee ☕ and sushi 🍣.
  • An Android guy, but I use a Mac computer.
  • A libertarian (though honestly, the concept probably won’t work anywhere).
  • Champagne makes me nauseous.
  • Loves travelling & long journeys, and I like doing them solo (well, before I got married).
  • Hates the concept of borders.
  • There is no food like Asian food.
  • I think happiness is merely perception and soul-mates are imaginary.
  • Unpopular opinion, but I think life is both a gift and a curse.
