I’m one of those people who are unlucky (or is it lucky) enough to have experienced many long distance relationships, flings, and what not.
Quite funny if I remember those moments when I consider myself to still be a child compared to present time, the excitement to see that someone was online in instant messenger, saying hi and just checking in.
The hollow we feel when the person is away and not available for the whole day.
Anyway, this song is “Half the World Away”. I actually made a music video of this song for one of my uni projects, back when I was living in London. I got one of my best friends Ingvild and my flatmate Juan to star in it. And the song was the acoustic version, while this version that I put up to Spotify is sort of an indie-electronic version.
Hope you enjoy.

Lyrics
The sun is up and you’re awake now
I’m waiting for you
To show up on my screen to tell you how
I’m thinking of you
Though we are half the world away
But I am near you
Though you’re not here while I’m awake
Still I dream of you
Hello, hello, hello
How are you?
Where are you?
What you’re up to today?
What will you do today?
I wish I was there with you
We’ll have a nice cup of coffee
Like we have always said we would
I wish I was there with you
Hello, hello, hello
How are you?
Where are you?
What you’re up to today?
What will you do today?
I wish I was there with you
We’ll have a nice cup of coffee
Like we have always said we would
When will I ever meet you?
When will I ever see you?
When will I ever feel you?
When will I ever kiss you?
